“Sake Story, some say the best Sake restaurant and Bar in Tokyo!”
Someone told me that this place was a real hidden gem in Tokyo and was a must-eat and must-drink kind of place. A site for sake lovers and enthusiasts. I took the leap and booked a slot with Tabelog. Sake Story is not just a restaurant or a bar; it is a pilgrimage site for sake enthusiasts and a j...ourney through Japan's brewing tradition. The physical manifestation of one man's passion and expertise: the legendary "Motorkey" , winner of the inaugural "God of Sake" (Sake no Kami) competition. He was also featured on TV when he was in University for creating a unique dish that he serves in Sake Story. It is here that Motorkey's champion status truly shines, with access to bottles nearly impossible to find elsewhere. (yes, that's it....RARE!) Motorkey took us through a journey on the different types of sake, their characteristics and the story behind each bottle of sake. Come for the legendary rare bottles, stay for the education, and leave with a appreciation for Japan's national beverage with Mr. Sake "Motorkey". It is, quite simply, one of the world's great sake destinations. Take note that Sake Story is closed on holidays Open only on the first and third Saturdays of the month. Go for it! you'd be missing out if you don't. :)
