As a cooking and food enthusiast I only can recommend this place. Out of 9 courses 6 were absolute masterpieces and could easily be served in Michelin starred restaurants. Chef Saku understands what it takes to create something special by mixing different flavors and textures into little sensations.

“Interesting Fusion Meal!”
Our trip this time led us to try Gris @gris_yoyogiuehara an interesting fusion restaurant. Instead of trying to book a Michelin starred restaurant, we figured it's time to try some local hidden treasures. Gris (i.e grey in French) serves a lot of self inspired dishes created by its head chef @pirlo0...505 鳥羽周作 fusing Japanese, French and Italian elements. Alcohol pairing contains both wine and sake by Gris' manager/sommelier 外山博之. Both food and alcohol pairing are indeed "Grey" as they blur the lines of country specific and traditional definitions of cuisines. A rosé from Georgia that doesn't taste like a rosé, an aged honjozo Japanese sake 本醸造酒 that doesn't taste like honjozo. Japanese mackerel with beetroot, white beans with Nozawa pickles 野沢菜. Very interesting food experience in a relaxed environment. Best of all it is affordable. Highly recommended!!!

This quant restaurant is as close to being in France as you could get . Even the wonderful professional staff speak French and English . Lunch time menu was explained in every detail . The food well has to be tasted to be believed , top marks for flavor and presented in the French way which all adds... to a wonderful experience . The restaurant (Grey) in English is of high quality but reasonable cost. The duck ham is to die for , the veg was cooked perfectly and the glanced sauce yum . I can not believe trip advisor isn't climbing to give this small French restaurant a reward . Well done to all the staff for a wonderful experience . We will be returning .
