“Grande ristorante italiano”
Great Italian experience. The chef knows Italian food well and delivered a great set menu in a very creative way. Knowing one of the party was from Friuli, he improvised a dish of "cialsons" (sweet and savory dumplings) from that region, filled with spinach and chocolate. Also great wine.

“Vague, though not bad.”
We've been for lunch and selected light one from among 3 types of prix fixe menu. We were satisfied with plenty of meal and well presented dishes. Roast pork/venison were juicy and rich. Creamy Panna Cotta & Savory Mandarin Orange Gelato were awesome! Dining room has good atmosphere in the familiar ...way, and we spent a relaxing lunch time in Sunday afternoon. Though, I feel some difficulty in rating this restaurant. It is neither casual nor sumptuous. And a little bit pricey for lunch with friends in Kagurazaka.

Amazing italian restaurant in Tokyo! It sees to be at home.. (written by an italian foodie..). All the dishes are created in the real and authentic italian way!

“Very tasty, attentive service, but perhaps a little pricey”
This area is full of amazing restaurants at all price ranges, but kagurasaka seems especially well-stocked with Italian and French places. We stopped in for lunch at Alberata on a Sunday without a reservation, but it was full by the time we left. There are three lunches: I ordered the basic which in...cluded a mini appetizer, an appetizer selection, a pasta dish, a meat dish, dessert, and coffee. My partner ordered the next step up which included an extra pasta dish and slightly different appetizers. We also ordered a glass of wine each and the final cost for two was 9500 yen. They included a linen fee which I found surprising for lunch. Food quality and volume was excellent: everything was artfully presented and there were several surprising flavor mixes such as a fennel-flavored cabbage side dish under the venison steak. The bread was warm and quickly replenished as was the water. The furnishings were very soothing: a nice yellow interior with Italian cabinets and chairs. The room got a little loud as it filled and we couldn't hear the music by the time three tables were seated; there are 7-8 tables in all plus a private room down below. The only reason the place doesn't earn an excellent in my book is the price. I can't say I'd go back; there are so many other places to try, but if someone where in the area I could say Alberata provides a nice atmosphere, good service, and excellent food.
