“Everyone comes here for business lunches”
English and Japanese menus. Great service. Affordable dining at lunch. You will see lots of Westerner's come here! My colleagues tell me it is because the food is quite good (Japanese udon, sushi, rice sets and sushi) and they have good service and English menus. It is a very good, safe choice and ...there's usually something for everyone (unlike normal Japanese restaurants which only serve one type of food). Lunch will set you back around 1,200 - 2,000 yen depending on what you order. I have been here several times with colleagues and tried the udon set, today's special and sushi Yama. All of them are very good and the presentation cannot be faulted. Service is attentive and the tea is great too! Come early before 12 or late, after 1 if you don't like waiting.

Great for westerners who have just arrived and don't want to venture far straight away. Service was lovely as was the food.

“Good if you can't be bothered leaving the hotel”
The food was good but not fantastic, the service was excellent and the price was reasonable. It was nice as my wife and I were staying at the hotel and we were too tired to go out but there are better places to eat if you do.

“Reasonable food, reasonable price, fantastic service but no atmosphere”
We had a couple of lunches here. The food was reasonable and staff very attentive, even helping to explain a few of our queries on Japanese culture. The best lunch we had was when we ate outside on the patio. The whole seating area is scrupulously clean and it felt so much less oppressive than insid...e of the restaurant although we were the only al fresco diners. One thing I found odd was when I asked for a glass of Coke I was given it in a small, stemmed wine glass meaning I had to order another straight away.

“Decent food shame about the atmosphere”
The restaurant offers a mix of European and Japanese food which for hotel standards is reasonably priced. Staff are attentive and service is good. Being attached to a hotel and having high ceilings it is a bit soulless but if you are staying in the hotel or visiting the gardens nearby you could do ...a lot worse
