“Creative and delightful”
Sublime. The food and wine were both perfect. Particular highlights were the bonito (on a bed of sautéed onions, topped with coriander, pesto and caramelised sugar), the sea urchin (with onion mousse and tomato extract), and the miniature mushroom croque monsieur.

“Good French cuisine”
Small and beautifully decorated restaurant with good french cuisine. The chef is very friendly and speaks perfect French and very good English. The dishes were not very imaginative, but perfectly cooked.

“Small place ok food”
By now those who are familiar with Michelin places in Japan will realize many are small establishments. There are about 14 seats, 4 are side by side facing the open kitchen. I always use Moliere, Sapporo as a reference of good ambience and food quality (3 starred) and valued at about 11,000 yen for ...dinner (2014). Les chanterelles is themed on mushrooms. There were about 6 dishes. Outstanding dishes were the seasonal Greenling fish (Ainame) and the passion fruit soufflé. 10,000 for dinner set was acceptable but wasn't blown away at all.

“I told him to surprise me and he did!”
So glad to have discovered this place before Chef Yusuke Nakada earned his first Michelin. He so deserved it!
