“The best chips!”
We've been going here for years and love the chill atmosphere, friendly welcome and great food. They always have lots of meat options as the place is owned by a butcher. There is usually a nice selection of beef cuts that Sazuki-San, the chef will cook up treat, usually with a side of some sort. (Fr...ies, roasted potatoes, salad - depending on the dish.) In winter he does hearty soups and some delicious stews like cassoulet. Be aware there isn't an English menu but they will do they're best to make sure get well fed. Tapas plates include cut meats, Spanish cheese, olives, potatoe salad, pâté, pickles and more. They have some great salads; try a Caesar or Nicoise. They have beer on tap and a wall full of Italian and Spanish wines that are quite reasonably priced. It's a small place and is usually busy so I recommend booking or try getting there early to secure either a spot at the counter or one of the three tables up the back.
