“Great atmosphere!”
I went to Tokyo Kichi with my friend for a girls' night out. I was pleasantly surprised by the home-y yet sophisticated atmosphere in the tiny restaurant. There couldn't be more than 30 seats in the place, which allows for prompt and personal service. My friend and I sat at the "bar" and ordered dr...inks, a salad, and main dishes. We ended up paying about 2000 yen each. Tokyo Kichi's specialty is risotto, and at 800-1500 yen per dish you can eat well without totally breaking the bank. I had the salmon and asparagus risotto which was absolutely to die for. The portions are reasonably sized, and with a salad it makes for a well rounded meal. With the dim lighting and quirky decor, I forgot I was in Tokyo for an hour. Finding it is also a bit of a challenge, which would make it a great adventure for dedicated foodies or a first date.
