“Traditional Japanese food and surroundings.”
I'm told this restaurant offers a true Japanese experience as if one were hosting a guest and you wanted something very special. They certainly didn't fail in their efforts and it was a great journey. We were in a private room above the main restaurant with stunning views over the surrounding garden...s and hills. Slippers are provided and of course you sit on the floor on flat seats on the bamboo carpet. It's all very comfortable and feels and looks totally authentic. The service from the word go was second to none and food was a total sensory journey. If you were to ask me prior to my visit what my expectations would be and to describe what I would expect a typical Japanese meal to be this was it, nail and head spring to mind. A lovely way to spend a lunchtime experiencing traditional Japan with no tourist gimmicks and certainly worth a visit. Be sure to book if you want a private room though!
