Steps from Akihabara train station on 2nd floor. You need to go into this with a mindset of understanding the Japanese culture, not with a western mindset. It is a typical maid café, and. interesting for the tourist. They even have live dancing shows. The food was cute. There was a entrance fee and ...then you needed to purchase food or drink. It was a interesting and memorable evening.

When visiting Akihabara, we thought maybe we should go experience the Japanese maid culture. You really have to give kudos to all the maids in maid cafe. Not only do they have to be waitress but they also need to act cute and perform dances to entertain all patrons. It's very kids/family friend...ly. We were in the maid cafe during a weekday afternoon, so there were not a lot of people. You do need to order drink/meal to get a free voucher to take a picture with them. You are free to take pictures of the drinks, food but you will need to have a voucher to take picture with the maid. By the way, food is so so. It not the best or worse but all the food look cute. If you ordered curry omelet over rice, the maid will come and try to draw a cute animal on the omelet.

It was a touristy experience maybe? It reminds me of America where they charge an entrance fee, can’t take photos of the maids unless you pay for it. Food was cute and pretty decent. They try to get you to enter a prize raffle for $880 and almost everyone got a glow stick? I wouldn’t do it again si...nce it’s a little weird and probably not worth all the extra costs but I guess it’s only in Japan lol.
