“What happened to my ABC?”
I have been back a number of times since my first review, and frankly speaking, I have been more and more disappointed each time. Last night was the worst. The service was rushed (we were the only two in the place) while the owner tended to a girl who had come in to give him a gift from Thailand (...hey, she was cute), so our Bacon and Eggs was undercooked, the bacon was thick and chewy...way too much fat and oil. The vegetables used were a mismatch (nanohana, not asparagus), the lasagna was a piece in a dish, rather than a dish having been cooked in it...980 yen is too much for a small thin piece. I would be willing to give the owner a piece of my wife's "real" lasagna. Anyway, overall it was greasy, undercooked and too expensive. I can't see going back for that price. It was my favorite place in Chigasaki...so I am a bit sad and disappointed how it has turned out. Enjoy if you can. I can't.

“Cool restaurant with fun vibe ”
We went to ABC last night and really enjoyed the evening. They have a large selection of imported beers, and the menu offers a nice variety as well. The owner, Masajito, has studied cooking in Paris, New York, and Thailand. He finally decided to come back to his home town and open up this little spo...t. The ambience is very inviting and natural wood used to make the bar adds another element to the warmth of the place. My favorite dish was the ribs!

“Great value for your money, delicious, and an owner that really cares.”
ABC is easy to miss, as I almost did. My friend had gone there a few weeks before and talked me into going in. I am so glad I did. We sat at the counter, which was nice because we could watch the owner do his work as well as talk to him (he speaks pretty good English and lived in New York for a f...ew years cooking). From the start I could tell it was going to be a good place. It smelled great, no smoking, and the menu also had an English translation giving the names of each item. We started with the Gorgonzola Dip, which contained walnuts and raisins, with toasted baguette slices for dipping. There was plenty of cheese and it tasted strong with an perfect accent of the walnuts and raisins making it superb. He smokes ham and bacon and also makes his own sausages....awesome. I didn't have the cheesecake, but it looked great, and other customers seemed to be savoring each bite. The nice variety of beer was moderately priced, and I would have like to have tried every item on the menu. I would give it 4.5 stars, just to encourage the owner to keep on trying to be perfect. Enjoy! (but don't tell too many people about it...let's keep it our little secret :) )
