“Food is not everything!!!”
I visited this small restaurant with the expectation to feel somehow in South America not only because of the food, but also because of its environment and friendliness of the staff! The chef hardly smiles,he is so concentrated in his cooking that to greet his customers is not on his agenda! His sta...ff behave the same! It is a one to three deal! Enter, seat, eat and Sayonara! Food is not everything! Omotenashi is important!! In Japan and in Peru too!!!

“Arai Shoten---Peruvian Food in Tokyo”
If it’s authentic Peruvian you’re looking for, look no further than Arai Shoten. They’ve been doing Peruvian food in the same spot in Tokyo for as long as I can remember. Take a map with you because it’s a bit of a walk from the station. If you’re up for a traditional mainstay, try the lomos saltado... (strips of meat and onions in a cumin-spiced sauce). If you’re a little more adventurous, then go for the potatoes and plantain-like dish (tender and tasty) or try the corn (the kernels are HUGE!!).
