As the other review says, order from the machine, go to the table and fill out the form which asks you basically how you want your ramen. As you sit in a singular booth, conversation isnt really possible so if you think you are going to go there for a good chat over a great meal, forget about that o...ne. Once you fill out the form and put your tickets down from the vending machine, a hand sneaks through the curtain in front of you and grabs your form. A few minutes later a delicious bowl of ramen appears and the curtain closes. Best broth and awesome flavour, seen other Inchirans where the line is dead set massive so get there early. Get the instant noodles as well, 5 packs for 2000 yen. The best instant noddles you will eat at home!

So basically, you order from the machine at the entrance (now with English translations) and in case you can't get enough of your order, you can also take orders from your seat using a slip of paper on your countertop. Before entering, there is a seat plan with indicator lighting so you will know if... there's a vacant seat somewhere. You sit down, you write on a piece of questionnaire how you want your order served and then you hand-in both the paper and your order tickets. All my orders were served in the proper amount of time, I enjoyed my hot bowl of ramen and ordered additional noodles using a long slip of paper on my table and didn't have any problems at all. I think if you ordered the additionals beforehand, they will give you a small silver plate that you have to put on top of the call buttons when you're ready to get the additional orders. Anyway, it won't be too complicated anymore since there are translations everywhere (except for the questionnaire, if I remember correctly, just encircle the middle - 普通 if you're in trouble). I do love the taste of Ichiran, but I still prefer other ramen shops. I guess it's just a matter of difference in preference. Overall, highly recommended for the general palate.
