Koshuyamucharyori Bakufu

There are lots of Chinese restaurants in Jiyugaoka and this has led each to cater to a specific niche. So, if you're looking specifically for good Cantonese Chinese food or dim sum, then I definitely recommend this place. Although we didn't try their mabodofu or the tantanmen ramen noodles, the dish...es here are not especially spicy and everything we tried was good and dependable. Make sure to order the super long fried shrimp spring rolls (800 yen for 2 long rolls). BAKUFU specializes in fresh shrimp dishes. So, you can't go wrong with any of the dishes featuring shrimp (very tender and juicy) BAKUFU is run by a Chinese family and we found every dish to be tasty and authentic. If you're looking for classy atmosphere, this is not the place to try. The tablecloths are vinyl and the wall paper is supposed to make the walls look as if they were made of red brick, but it's more comical than fanciful. So, this is definitely not the kind of place you'd want to bring that special someone to on a first date. Having said that, the place is very clean and always busy. This place stays open till 11:00 at night. So if you're looking for a late-night hang out, that might be another reason to check this place out. The location is also quite easy to find. It's almost right across the street from LABI (Yamada Denki) (the major electronics retailer).
