“Escape the rain”
A warm friendly place to escape the rain or crowds for a hour. Lovely coffee, nice desserts and wifi.

“GREAT place for hanging out or wifi plus great coffee and desserts”
In Kamakura, we arrived before check-in time at our hotel, but my daughter needed to have wifi for a skype appointment. A few places had free wifi but you had to have already made an account online previously, so they were no help. Banyan Tree had free wifi that was totally accessible and worked gre...at. We also discovered a DELICIOUS gluten-free dessert which was called something like Brown Sugar Kinako cake and was made with soy flour. (KInako is YUMMY - kind of peanuty flavor but made with soy and usually used with mochi) The other desserts we tried were also delicious as was the coffee (another gluten-free-friendly dessert was the crustless cheesecake). A couple days later we returned with some Japanese friends who did not know about the place previously and they loved it too. The people were super friendly also. Highly recommend it!
