YOSHINOYA Tsurumiekinishiguchi

(I don't believe this is the right location, however, it is the closest to where I ate and like Matusya, Yoshinoya is basically the same everywhere) After asking my Japanese tattoo artist which was the best of the three big, "beef bowl," chains, he preferred Yoshinoya. We were finally able to eat a...t one, when we rented a car for the day and drove the Wangan (what an absolutely beautiful road). Ending up at Daikoku Futo (which also does not have a profile on this site), we stopped in for lunch and to try the bowl. The beef is quite good, very similar to Matusya, but the spices and sauces don't seem the same (and not as good), though that just might be my palate talking. The rice I found to be basically the same, but I feel you get less at Yoshinoya, than you do at Matsuya. As well, you cannot take out anything that has egg in it, thus I could not try the equivalent dish that I ate at Matsuya. Due to this, I got the pork ribs (my fiancée got the beef), which were quite tasty, but lack the punch of the beef, in my opinion. All in all though, the location at Daikoku Futo was great and the service was excellent. Still bummed about the egg though...
