“Fear not the organs”
We arrived early (4.30) hoping to get a table before the evening crowds descended on this place which is very popular with the locals. Before letting us in, the waiter explained to us that the skewer menu was not simple chicken, but pork "organs" i.e. liver, heart, uterus etc. I guess they have had ...people walk out when they find this out after sitting down. We were undaunted, reassured by the fact that there are indeed other things on the menu which are truly delicious, even if you don't like the main skewer selection!

“First Dinner in Tokyo”
Taken here by a local colleague, as we wanted experience a proper local restaurant and not somewhere unauthentic. 2 types of Sake were ordered, including a fizzy one, which were duly enjoyed. We rather got the impression that too much Sake would be a less than good thing! Chicken dishes were exce...llent, as was the plain tomato saled served with Salt and mayonaise. Really lovely. There were some interesting offal dishes available including tongue, heart and uterus(!!) which I am afraid we rather cowardly did not try, which was the same for the "soup of internal organs". Fascinating, but not for me I think" All in a great evening getting to know our Japanese colleagues, and very much recommended for a proper local meal. Good price to at Y8,000 for 4.
