La Ohana Yokohamahommoku

I would give 3.5 for this Hawaiian themed restaurant. The decor, menu selection, drinks and pretty much everything about the place is, aloha spirit Hawaiian. They use good quality materials in the decor and construction so it’s quite a nice ambience. Food wise quite tasty, will high marks for mos...t of their selection; the spare ribs, roast beef and roast chicken is especially delicious! The only negative is that they pipe ‘sex wax’ aroma at the entrance of the restaurant, a sweet and very artificial smell of the wax used on surf boards. I understand the Hawaiian connection, but it’s not an appetizing smell, and if anything negativity impacts your appetite. Just hold your breath when you go in!

Relaxed environment w an atmosphere and music that transports your senses straight to Hawaii. Had the eggs, pancakes w bacon and sausage (was missing my N American breakfast staples. Service was very good and food was super.

If you’re looking for lunch that is not Japanese, you’re spot on. Their menu is quite diverse but taste is only slightly above average. Variety is not too bad, price is reasonable for a ‘Hawaiian ‘ joint. We called 3 different dishes and dessert. Ribs were a bit disappointing because we love ribs fr...om Tony Roma. The shrimp curry and taco rice were ok. Dessert was normal.

It is in a nice, comfortable environment, service is good, attentive waiters. The food options are good and the portions are ok. For some of the options, the size is good enough.(around 1,000 yen). Plates options go from salad, loco moco to meat.The big portions are the spare rib or roasted chicken(...around 1,500).There is a 20 parking slot in the back.
