GINZAFUJITA

We recently had a really good dinner at Ginza Fujita. We were introduced to this "only to those in the know" restaurant in middle of Ginza. The restaurant is located in the basement of one of the many multistory buildings near Shinbashi Station. The restaurant is operated by a chef who does most ...of the cooking in front of you behind the counter. Our dinner started with sashimi of extremely fresh and rare fish from around Japan, all caught that day. Then we had a multiple course of vegetable tempura. All of the vegetables he used were tiny "baby-size" vegetables, and they were both interesting and delicious. Instead of cutting normally sized vegetables into pieces, he cooks small vegetables, mainly whole, for his tempura. This was followed by a sushi course, soup, and dessert. The whole experience was totally worth the price. Highly recommended.
