If Japanese Indian is conflict of terms, then so is the cuisine here. We tried the set meal for two and had the opportunity to sample 2chicken dishes and 3curries. The chicken was ok and the salad was basically shredded cabbage. Two of the curries were sweet and mild, with very little meat and a lot... of sauce. The lamb/spinach had some kick. It is probably the use of sugar I object to.

At the nearby street corner a slik guy hands out coupons and tries to direct you to this restaurant. While reading the menu on a big sign outside the place, the waiter comes out and invites you in. A vegetable biryani? Yes, sir we have that one the menu! So I went in. The chef prepares the meal ver...y close to the tables and does so with a big smile on his face. This was far from the best vegetable biryani I've ever had, but many Indian restaurants don't have it on the menu at all because it requires a lot of different ingredients and therefore is too hard to make. So a big plus for this Indian restaurant is that they offer vegetable biryani at all. Yet, this biryani was done in a jiffy and it is obvious why. It isn't as rich in vegetables and spices as it should be, instead the taste comes mainly from the oil. Both the meal and the service are a bit sleek and greasy, but considering the fair price it is a pass.
