Walking around in Tokyo Station is always a challenge. Judging by the number of native Japanese people who frequently looked for maps, I doubt that it is a tourist problem. So, when you are seemingly lost, and you are hungry, and you wanted to yell, "I gave up", you would be glad to find that the re...staurants there do not suck. And, among them all, Kisuke is one of the restaurants that I would recommend if you like beef. Well, beef tongues, that is. Beef tongues are expensive, no question about it. A plate of thin slices costs a lot here in NYC. Let me say this, before my last trip to Tokyo, I've never eaten thick cut beef tongues. The moment I put one into my mouth, I knew I would regret it -- because it would be difficult to find another restaurant in NY that can serve me the same thing at this price. Trust me, don't turn on your brain, don't think -- just order the thick cut beef tongues.

This restaurant is in Tokyo station near yaesu north exit. It is busy, and the focus is on Beef Tongue done in various ways. The menu is well illustrated for easy ordering. Many sets to select from. Enjoyed the grilled and soft boiled versions. The rice is cooked with barley which is really nice. Th...ey are quick to seat you, and are friendly and attentive. Service is very fast. The turnover is very quick.

I've had beef tongue and ox tail soup at Kisuke, in Sendai (Tohoku-area) a few times in my life. I liked them but it wasn't easy to have it in the US. This trip to Japan, I wanted to have Beef tongue with ox tail soup. I found the branch of Kisuke in Tokyo Station restaurant area, called Kitchen Str...eet. My husband and I had different flavor, one with salt and one with sweet source. They were both good. This restaurant serves a rice bowl with ox tail soup. The soup is delicious and ox tail is really soft. It is not the place to stay long, so order, eat and then go.

Although the food presentation was normal but the chargrilled ox tongues were extremely yummy, and we definitely love the spicy green chillies that go with the ox tongues. We ended up ordered more ox tongues because they are too good!

We met colleagues here. Service was discreet and very competent. This was a working dinner and with a separate room, this was easily achieved.
