“Don't Miss their Pies”
While visiting Ikebukuro, don't miss the shop selling their pies. You can actually smell them in the street. Not many choices (3-4) but they are all delicious. Sometimes, you may have to line up for your turn.

“Get the pie!!”
Ok so there aren’t any other choices, but the pie is wonderfully flaky and the apples are well cooked. The custard is surprising. I am in love with the crust, buttery, flaky and perfect. Each pie is 399¥ but are worth it.

“Ringo Ikebukuro”
We're been so lucky that when we went it wasn't busy. It's warm, flaky, and also has a cream filling. The only con is that it's a bit expensive for each apple pastry. But, we will always go there when we're in Tokyo. Here are the directions: Ikebukuro Station, take East exit Turn left Go past the... Samantha Tavasa shop Ringo is at the end (corner of building)

“Delicious”
Happened upon the shop by accident and saw a line of people from the front door to the corner and down the street. The smell wafting from the front door caused us to stand in the long line. As we slowly inched our way along through the glass window we watched as tray after tray of apple turnovers we...re lifted out of oven then brushed with the light glaze. There is a purchase limit of four so buy the limit you won’t be disappointed. It is boxed well and placed in an apple red paper shopping bag. The pastries were still warm when we got back to the hotel. They were THE BEST apple turnovers I ever ate. The crust was buttery and flaky; the filling perfectly sweet; a marriage made in heaven. Wait in the line, buy up to the limit, and enjoy great tasting apple turnovers at Ringo near Ikebukuro Station East exit.

“Simply delicious!”
Ringo is a small place that does one thing and does it well! Their apple pies are wonderful - flaky pastry, delicious apple and cream filling. Worth the wait (there’s usually a line) to get your hands on one of these ❤️
