“Pretty decent Italian fare”
We had trouble walking around to find a nearby restaurant with a table accomodating 6. The Japanese restaurants were either full or you sit at the bar. Luckily we stumbled upon Vivace and had a fantastic evening. Two bottles of their Barbera helped the flow. Entrees of specially cooked asparagus wer...e enjoyed. A variety of mains were had and everyone was complimentary of their meal. Nothing super flash but good Italian, reliably cooked and friendly staff. English was spoken by some of the staff.

“Cozy, sumptuous Italian place”
Honestly, I am not one for Italian cuisine but after a friend recommended la cucina Vivace, I have changed my stance. For lunch, apart from à la carte, you have a choice of three set menus ranging from ¥1800, ¥2500 & ¥3600. The chef is adept at dishing out authentic fare. The antipasto of cured por...k & carpaccio of turbot was an excellent appetizer. Followed by the Lasagne & Spaghetti with sea urchin which were simply divine & not to forget the mackerel & steak which were cooked to perfection. This cozy little Italian place is just a couple of minutes to your left, from the East exit of Suidobashi station on the JR Sobu line or Exit A1 on the Mita subway. Reservations on weekends is recommended. If you make a reservation for lunch you get a glass of sparkling wine on the house, though one needs to find out if that offer still stands.
