“Excellent tempura, generous portions”
I ordered the tempura set that included a small plate of sashimi, chawan-mushi (custard), rice and soup. The accompaniments were all excellent, the sashimi was very fresh and the chawan-mushi delicate and (thankfully) not sweet. The tempura was served at table by the chef as it was prepared, steamin...g hot and fresh. I was amazed at the quantity and the variety - several large shrimp, followed by fish and "hamo" (a kind of eel), then peppers and asparagus, and finally a "mixed tempura" with lots of small shrimp and other things. All this for a very modest price of 2200 Yen for dinner. An amazing bargain.
