“Cheap food option in the heart of Ikebukuro”
This place is the tonkatsu (deep fried pork cutlet) equivalent to the many fast food beef bowl (gyu don) places in Japan. You sit down at the bar, point to what you want in the menu and you are served within five minutes. You are paying 500-1000 yen for a "combo" that contains a rice bowl, salad and... miso soup - excellent value, good taste and perfect for those on the run. It's not a place for you to sit and chat as there are a limited number of seats inside and often a lineup to get seated. It's not quite gourmet dining, but the excellent price makes up for this.

“Cheap and good Tonkatsu”
Unbelievable price. This meal would easily set me back at least 20-30$ back home but it only costs me 10$! And that quality of tonkatsu? Very good for a fast food restaurant. Will definitely visit this place again.

“So good! ”
We love the tonkatsu here, it's cheap and delicious. As a former resident and frequent visitor to Tokyo I highly recommend it for a fast food meal. I always order the "hire katsu" teishoku, as I prefer a leaner cut of pork. Anyway, surely everything is delicious. It's always full of locals so it ca...n't be bad!!!!!
