“Excellent tonkatsu at bargin prices”

I agree with all the positive reviews. The tonkatsu wa almost as good as at my favorite place in Minato-ku, but at a much lower price. It was 2450 en at Nomoto-ya, and a comparable meal was 890 yen at Katsuya.

“Great Katsu-don”

We enjoyed it a lot. Great value too. I had Katsu-don with green onion and egg. Incredible. The pork Muso soup and the prawns that come with another Katsu keal were great. Fast and honest no frills service, but you can only eat at the bar.

“Street food at its best”

Reviewed 09/Apr/2019

A smal place where people stop in on their way home for a delicious, generous serving of tonkatsu, served in various ways. Sitting on stools, there is a constant turnover of counter-style tables, so don’t be afraid of the line. Food is made to order, fresh and not greasy. They serve a unique miso... soup, with chunks of carrots, daikon, and konnyaku which makes for a hearty bowl of miso soup. For the quality and price, you can’t beat it - the tonkatsu meal set for less than $9.00, served with a bowl of miso soup, rice, a heaping serving of finely grated cabbage, unlimited Japanese pickles and cold tea.
