A small place where you eat a set menu for 3 000 or 4 000 Y. Different tempuras, fish, vegetables. Very light tempuras. Excellent!

An evening here was one of the greatest food experiences of my life. Small and intimate but complete theatre. Watching a master at work was so unique and a true window into Japanese culture. I’ve never seen a prawn dismantled with such care and attention and then recreated I’m so many ways. I’d fly ...to Tokyo to eat here!!!

I didn't have any idea what to expect before I went, as I had only previously been to tempura restaurants with the standard Tendon and Moriawase choices - however by the end I had a new-found appreciation for the art of making tempura. The tempura chef was amazing, explaining each dish as it came in... detail. The cooking of the tempura dishes was fantastic, starting with the crispy prawn heads and ending with the kakiage/ochazuke don, by way of the standout tempura scallops. Everything was in the details, from what seasonings go with which tempura, to the little dollop of wasabi that you discover when you open the tendon bowl at the end. For an experience of the culture of tempura, I would definitely recommend this place.

We always ask for "omakase" or "chef's recommendation menu" and are never disappointed. The seasoned chef deftly cooks right in front of you and willingly answers questions and shows us ingredients. The service is perfect, and the food delicious and we visit often

This is on a side street but what a find! The chef has been cooking tempura for 40 years and his little place can only sit 10 people. All the ingredients are fresh. We had the tempura set course which was too massive and the food kept coming. Every ounce of food was delicious!! Too many Favourite di...shes - so many types of fish, loved the Ginko nut. The lotus root was the best dish we had. They also have prawn stuffed inside the shiitake mushrooms. The white bait was also to remember for!
