“Grilled unagi enjoyed 3 ways!”
Anyone who has eaten at their chain of restaurant knows this place rocks! The grilled unagi is so tasty. To get a reservation you need to book so far ahead but if you don’t get one just queue on row of chairs in front of restaurant. Dinner opens at 5pm so get here 30 minutes prior and wait normally ...isn’t too long

“Highly recommended great tasting unagi (eel)”
Ah, that famous Nagoya Unagi now opened in the Mitsukoshi building in Ginza which makes this a must try restaurant. Overall, the restaurant is a bit small with limited sitting but adds to the cozy atmosphere. The wait staff was attentive and able to converse in limited English. We ordered our foo...d and did not wait long. The unagi (eel) was well prepared and seasoned to perfection but only a little lean. Rice was cooked to perfection and made a good accompaniment to the main star of the dish. Had sake to wash it all down. Tried this restaurant on two different occasions and the quality and consistency was there. I looked around and saw a lot of locals - which means it must be good. Moderate pricing and good serving size makes this place a good choice for lunch.

“Great hitsumabushi”
I first tasted authentic Nagoya style hitsumabushi in Nagoya, since then I have become an addict. This was our 3rd hitsumabushi meal in this Tokyo stay and it never gets old. Texture: 9/10, exterior was lightly charred and crispy, even more crispy than the Akasaka Fukinuki in Shinjuku; interior wa...s still juicy and relatively fatty Flavor: 9/10, not overly salty or sweet, you can still taste the unagi Rice: 9/10, perfectly cooked, the top layer is infused with the sauce and juice from the fatty eel, again I wish they can add a layer of crispy rice in the bottom similar to that of Cantonese claypot rice. Value: 8/10, authentic hitsumabushi is not easy to find and it's not cheap, the price here is comparable to other authentic hitsumabushi specialty restaurants. For 3/4 size of the eel (standard) its 3500 JPY, more if you choose whole eel, or 1 & 1/2 eel, etc. Overall this restaurant delivered excellent hitsumabushi, it's not cheap but it was def

“Enjoyed the 3 way Japanese eel meal”
I was visiting Mitsukoshi in Ginza, as it was getting late went to the 11F and found this place to eat. The restaurant is situated quite high up possibly the top floor of the department store. Ther are a number of restaurants all serving different Japanese food. I heard about the Japanese grill...ed eel with their special method so I was keen to try. I had the Japanese style omelette wrapped eel which has a delicate taste The waitress was very kind and polite and shown me what to do in eating it 3 ways. It was different from any other grilled fish I have tasted. There is a sweet smokey flavor to the eel. I really enjoyed the meal it was not cheap but definitely worth the experience.
