“Excellent stir fried basil leaves rice with fried egg.”
Went there on a Saturday afternoon. Wasn’t crowded, we got seated immediately, and service was fast. Our orders came within minutes after ordering. We took their stir fried pork with basil leaves and egg on top of rice (gapao moo rat kao), stir fried beef with basil leaves and egg on top of rice (ga...pao neua Ray kao), prawn crackers, Thai ice milk tea. We enjoyed their main course very much, the price are really fair (980 yen and 1080 yen), portions are big, and taste is very authentic! Will come back to try the other main dishes next time, but might not order their drinks though. The Thai milk tea we ordered was really disappointing. The taste was nowhere close to the real Thai tea and it cost 500 yen for just a small glass (maybe only 200ml). For this price I can have a more decent drink at any cafes. Overall experience was great, however! The service by the staff were immaculate, super attentive and friendly.

“Be Prepared Buy Breath Mints”
Went to Gapao as it was recommended by a friend, unfortunately I was very disappointed. I do eat at many Thai restaurants in Tokyo, and this just did not work for me. The atmosphere was very cheap, with the music being too loud. In regards to the food had too much garlic, I ordered the prawn calpacc...io. Perhaps it was put on to cover the bad taste of the prawn. The garlic kept on lingering in my mouth until the next night. The Patai was not bad but again with the garlic still on my taste buds it was hard to tell. Again eating at other Thai restaurants in Tokyo, the cost performance was not very good. If you are a drinker if you order 3 Thai beers the 4th is free perhaps that is an incentive. But for me I will stick to my favorite Thai restaurant in Omotesando.
