“Value for money BBQ”
Since we were planning to visit the Sapporo Beer museum, we decided to make a day trip of it by having our meal at the Beer Garden too. To avoid disappointment, we made our reservation online as read that the place can get filled up quite quickly and queue can be long. The beer garden itself actual...ly consist of 3 different building, each with slight variation to its decoration, but all seem to be serving similar food. The main draw is the all you can eat ‘genhis khan’ BBQ which is lamb meat of different cuts that you barbecue over metal skillet and dip into their special sauce to eat. There are also other cuts of meat available like chicken, pork and beef. Overall considering the price, their meat is of decent quality as all are fresh, tender and well marinated. Ordering the food is simple, just key your order on the tablet at the table and your order will be brought to you in a few minutes by a robot. Which made the whole dinning experiences extra fun. There is non-alcoholic drink menu available and for those that are extra thirsty there is the all you can drink option. The only catch is all food and drinks has a cap of 2 hours, but that itself should be plenty for most. After your meal, there is also a souvenir shop nearby where you can purchase the usual unique attraction items like T-shirts, keychains and magnets. Overall not a bad way to end a visit to a museum.

“So much fun, Japanese BBQ”
We came here on our last night in Sapporo. We were travelling with family, there were 7 of us. They have private dining rooms which you can book. They also have coat cupboards so your jackets won’t end up smelling from the bbq. The service was friendly and super efficient as it is everywhere in Jap...an. We went to town and ordered loads from the menu. The Genghis Khan lamb is a must we ended up ordering 4 plates of this alone. The wagu beef was also amazing along with the seafood which was so fresh and delicious. And of course the beer! Drinking Sapporo at the Sapporo Beer Garden was on my list of things I had to do! Reasonably priced and delicious and fresh. Also worth mentioning the bbq grills on the table are induction which were great. We had two on the table for the 7 of us to cook on.

“Delicious Barbecue Grill”
It is a make your own grill food , yakiniku style. We had buffet type which has a 2 hour time limit . Had pork , chicken , lamb and vegetables. Ordered shrimps as extra. Had beer of course , but I would suggest the 5 star Sapporo blend . A little robot like was also visible to help with small thing...s. The Cromwell hall was spacious. The grills however are not the smokeless type. Good thing they provide plastic bags for the coats . And apron type to avoid spillage into the clothes. Reservation is made at the beer museum beforehand.

“Genghis Khan experience grilling your own meat”
I came to this restaurant thinking it was where I go to get tastings. It turns out it was a yakiniku restaurant and the smell was strong. The staff gives you a huge bin and plastic bags to wrap up your belongings to try to minimize the smell on your belongings. The all you can eat sets were the mos...t popular thing to order here from what I can tell from all the tables around me but I couldn't eat that much so I did ala carte vegetables and meat and it ended up being the perfect amount for me. It was easy to order with their iPad and the staff was really friendly there. I think this place would've been great with friends and family but it was cool dining solo as well. There are special Sapporo beers on tap here too but if you just want beer, you're better off going to the tap room. If you want good yakiniku, you're better off going to another restaurant. This place is good for the vibes.

“Delicious but Smoky”
They had an affordable array of food and bigger beer glasses than the beer hall at the museum. There is a specialty here called Genghis Khan and it is delicious grilled lamb (that you do yourself) on a special mound. You can make reservations at the nearby Beer Museum and it was worth a stop for lun...ch after the free tour but it was also very smoky. Thankfully they provide bags to put your bags and jackets in and bibs for the grilled meats but make sure you keep your items off the table unless you want it coated with the splatter from the grill.
