“FULL COURSE DINNER AT AN AMAZING VALUE”
We frequented this restaurant's sister establishment in the city of Asahikawa and enjoyed it immensely. It was for this reason that we made an effort to visit this restaurant in Sapporo during our next travel there. The restaurant decor is very elegant with proper table setting in a spacious lov...ely room. The restaurant is very impressive and appropriate for very special events. Meal:: 7 Course Italian Dinner (with a special request that a lasagna be included) Total Charge: 5,250 yen ($55) / 4 people. Relative to cost this is the best dinner I have had in Sapporo so far. The food was very good and we were very impressed with the serving of tender steak from Hokkaido's Tokachi region. Seriously, a full course dinner with Tokachi steak for just above 5000 yen is unheard of in Japan. Staff were extrremely professional and polite and the lady that introduced us to the wine menu was very helpful. The only negative point that we can make about our dining experience was that the time we waited between the courses was a tad long. It was the summer holiday and the restaurant was almost filled to capacity. Other than this minor point we were very satisfied and impressed by the low cost of our dinner. I definitely will make an effort to re-visit this amazing restaurant. Are you on a tight budget but would love to treat your family to a formal Italian full course meal that includes good pasta and wonderful steak? If so, no other restaurant in Sapporo can even come close to cost performance of this restaurant. Wine: They service wine by the glass and have a limited wine list. The wine list however touches all the important bases for an Italian dinner: Chianti Classico, Brunello Di Montalcino, and a few super seconds. They have the basics covered.

“The secret is out!”
It would seem that the wives of Sapporo were keeping this gem a secret. Here us hard working businessmen were thinking that our wives were working hard at home when in fact some of them were enjoying some of the finest dining I have experienced in Sapporo. This Italian restaurant is nestled on the... side of the mountain as part of a Church complex. Around 10 minutes from the center of Sapporo, it has a free car park (if you get there early). With a set menu of less than 1500 yen for a excellent 3 course meal and no parking costs, it now ranks as my favorite restaurant in Sapporo. A check on the net reveals coupons which can be used for a free drinks. The home baked bread served with a selection of olive oils is wonderful although you may ask for a little more salt in the oil. The service is very professional but don`t be surprised if 90% of the tables are full of elegantly dressed housewives enjoying their lives. As a seasoned businessman, this is an excellent setting for a long client lunch. The views of the natural forest from the windows combined with the high roof of the building and timber decor makes for a really pleasing environment. They also have a sister restaurant located nearby. It is a french restaurant called Cana and is also part of the Shalom Church complex.
