“Lovely course dining with a view”
This venue, tucked away in the hills of Asahikawa, is mainly used for weddings but also houses this wonderful little restaurant. The menu offers a selection of a few course levels, all changing seasonally. We visited in the beginning of spring (for Hokkaido anyway!) and the menu was full of cherry ...blossoms inspired tastes and bitter wild mountain vegetables, pulled out of the ground locally and not found on any farm. A reservation is recommended. They ask you beforehand if you have any allergies or food preferences, which was much appreciated. The bread was freshly cooked and all you can eat. What a great lunch!

“Continues to Impress! Excellent Dinner and Service”
We absolutely love this restaurant and its romantic setting and beautiful atmosphere. We always order a full course meal which is different on every visit. Service is awesome and their assortment of breads served with your choice of olive oil is a nice touch. One of my favourite restaurants in Ja...pan.

“Outstanding Ambiance, Service, and Food”
We visited this restaurant 2 years ago and we were very glad that we decided to return. Service was impeccable and the dining room was very nicely decorated. Table setting and cutlery was very proper French. Our main course was served with cutlery by Laguiole. Prices are very reasonable and the ...restaurant is very flexible. I asked that my main course be changed as I was in the mood for a large steak. The waiter returned after spending 5 minutes discussing the request with the chef telling me that they would be more than happy to make the requested changes. Wow! Outstanding service. Food was amazing and we will definitely return. One of the best restaurants in Hokkaido in my opinion. Although technically "Italian" they also serve amazing French dishes. BRAVO! Wine: They have a limited selection of Italian wine. If you order a full course dinner for 4 people or more you may be able to bring 1 bottle. A small corkage fee may apply. They don't allow customers to bring their own wine as a policy however.

“Outstanding Cost Performance”
Travelling through Hokkaido we decided to stop in the large city of Asahikawa about 2 hours North of Sapporo for dinner. The Italian restaurant Foresta Verde is situated on the second floor of a European style wedding service with a chapel and a reception hall. The restaurant also serves as a wedd...ing party dining hall which explains the immaculate condition of the table wear, plates, silver wear and table linen. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with an Italian motif without being tacky. The meals were surprisingly inexpensive and as close as you will get to authentic Italian food in Hokkaido. We plan on visiting this restaurant again the next time we travel in the region. Customer service is absolutely amazing and our minor requests were met with satisfaction. For those that wish to add a bit of flair to their dining experience ask the hotel about the full course dinner + Limousine service. For an additional $20 to our full course dinner for 4 the restaurant sent a limousine to our hotel and brought us back following the lovely evening. Wine: We ordered the full course dinner & Limo taxi package and as part of the service I was allowed to bring my own wine with no corkage fee. I can't recall what the corkage policy was for a regular dinner meal but I have little doubt that a little friendly talk on the telephone will result in your request being met with satisfaction. They really do know how to make their guests feel special. I strongly recommend this family friendly Italian restaurant for a simple lunch, dinner or for a full course dinner if strong cost performance impresses you.
