“Great seasonal menu enhanced with white asparagus ”
Went to Mikuni for lunch on 1 May 2019, a special day worth of a special menu. Chose the seasonal menu and added a dish of white asparagus as recommended. The food was great and view was magnificent. From the first dish till the last, I could feel the passion that the chef has put in them. Thank... you. No doubt it was one of the best restaurants in Sapporo.

“Wonderful meal and evening”
The service was amazing. We enjoyed the ambiance and view. Our food was incredible. Everything was well prepared with fresh ingredients. We let the restaurant know that it was our 25th wedding anniversary and that we didn't eat meat (but do eat seafood) and they prepared a special menu and gave us s...ouvenir photos. We also had the wine pairings and they were superb.

“Birthday lunch”
I went to this restaurant with my husband on his birthday. It was the last day of our trip in Hokkaido so I just booked something near the hotel. I only informed the restaurant that it was my husband's birthday half way through - and to my surprise they presented the dessert with "happy birthday" ...and took photos for us and printed as a gift for us. Really impressed by their service.

“Below high expectations.Bad at the end”
Every restaurant in HOKKAIDO has the advantage of the fresh elements for their menu. Reading the TA comments I reserve at MIKUNI Sapporo for dinner. Because they are at the Tower it was not to easy to find the elevator who takes you to the 9th floor.Anyway I founded and came 10 minutes late.Nice... and gentle reception and they take me to the table. Intencionally I chose the Mikuni Menu with the four wine flights, because they offer an array of cheese from Hokkaido and France. The courses came with a fluid and gentle service. The pairing was very good. Particularly I liked The trout with vegetables and Riesling sauce. The plate was excellent and I thinked that other fish could be better.( later I confirm that the original fish offered in the menu was salmon . The Riesling was 2003 and I found it very good. The final course the black cattle from Hokkaido which was very good. The problem was instead of bring the cheese tray , they bring the plate that you can see in the bottom left.I say they I will like to select the cheese of my preference. To make this history short,it was necessary that the head captain came and allow me to chose only three Hokkaido little pieces of cheese with no “ extra “ charge.By the way no more bread of this kind were available. I requested tea and instead to ask or bring a box with the selection, just bring a cup of tea. They start fine and they end up terrible. This things cannot happen in a One Michelin star restaurant.

“Excellent Food Plus Impeccable Service”
I had dinner with my family at Mikuni on the first day of the Chinese New Year. Before making a reservation, I was in fact contemplating whether to go to Mikuni or other french restaurants in Sapporo. I was glad I chose Mikuni. First, the location of Mikuni is convenient (the restaurant is not lo...cated inside JR Tower Hotel though). Second, the food was fabulous and my brother-in-law loved the beef there. Also, the staff there were professional and very helpful. They were always present when you needed them but they did not make you feel you were being spied on. My family and I did not like cooked fish and the staff pleasantly changed our fish courses to other courses, such as lobster. My family and I had a wonderful Chinese New Year at Mikuni and we will definitely go there again.
