We settled on this restaurant for dinner. Ordered grilled squid and scallops. The squid was rather rubbery ~ did not enjoy the tough texture. The scallops were not as fresh too. Felt that the grilled food was a bit over cooked. I think would be better to enjoy them as the morning market stores inste...ad. We had some other mains order. For the price we spent, we could have had better value and fresher seafood.

This restaurant is at a corner of the seafood market. It is across from the La Vista Hakodate Bay Hotel. We had dinner here after a long & cold day in Hakodate. There were not many people in the restaurant around dinner time (about 7:30 pm) so we were initially not decided if this is a good choice.... There is no English menu but the menu has pictures so it was easy to order (that is if you are familiar with Japanese food. It cost us ¥3,700 (without beer) for a grilled fish set, a seafood tempura set and seafood steam rice (kamameshi). The seafood were all very fresh and tasty. Service was average and we have to help ourselve to tea and water that is provided at a corner (not too much of a problem). Overall we felt the decision was good and we enjoyed our dinner.
