Hakodatebeer

We had a brief visit to Hakudate and so a craft brewery was an ideal place. The staff were very friendly and helped us with the ordering system. We chose the four beer trial set as this would allow us to sample different beers. Of these, one was an English style and the other three German. They were... excellent and we should visit again to try to 10.5% beer! The food looked good too but time prevented us from trying some of that.

Nice place to chill out with some finger food and beer . Place to relax and unwind food - not too bad garlic bread is nice . If you want to drink simple beer , this would be the place. My first visit here though I have been to Hakodate for several times.

Went to this place with no great expectations and left with considerably less. The 'fish' part of fish and chips is a misnomer - the dish consisted of two very small off-cuts of a fillet which was overcooked and accompanied by a miniscule portion of poor quality chips. The avocado & mozzarella dis...h was no less impressive - the former being well past its peak. Overall a soul-less place lacking in atmosphere. Staff friendly enough but otherwise not worth a diversion from the quality seafood abounding elsewhere.

The place looks like a brewery and they do a flight of 4 beers to try. Unfortunately most of the beers just tasted watery and bland. The food is also very basic.

We went to this restaurant as my son and daughter had great meals there when they visited Hakodate years ago. This time it was a disappointment. Gone were the seafood caesar salad and seafood donburi, replaced by Chinese dishes. We had paella that was likely pre-cooked and warmed up. There was no so...ccarat. The seafood was very dry and tough. The beer was OK.
