Le musee

Wow! Everything was perfect. Chef Makoto Ishii is a genius. Fresh food from land and sea. Curated and combined with care and brilliance. The flavours were complex yet in harmony. His plateware was designed and made by him surrounding the food like diamonds. You must go! A place where foodies and ar...tists would feel in second heaven. A place where guests are treated as royalty. Thankyou Chef Ishii and your team.

Had dinner in this restaurant in late July 2022. Met with chef Makoto san, who not only cooks but also designs most of the pottery and utensils you will use during your feast. Very nice Omakase menu, catered for a piscitarian in the group when we informed him ahead of time. Food itself was very go...od, mostly with local Sapporo/Hokkaido produce. Highly recommended.

Had dinner at 1930. Took taxi over. Very nice little building with a very modern entrance Food was great and wine pairing was very worth it. The only thing I might say about the dinner was that they serve dishes quite quickly, one after the other, possibly because it was getting later. And we w...ere the last table to start. So I do recommend an earlier start.

We chose the chef kitchen so that we could witness the process of Chef Makoto at work. It was like watch an artist completing his work. Every dish was so nicely decorated as a piece art. Chef Makoto make use of fresh coal products and turn them into delicious food on your plate. Every course offer...s surprise to the eyes and your taste. The wine list albeit short but is well represented and balance. It is not difficult to find something you like. Thanks to Chef Makoto and his team. I promise that I will come back.

We had a most satisfying culinary experience having lunch at Le Musée Sapporo. It all started in December 2017 when Galaxy Macau invited the owner/chef of Le Musée, Makoto-san to host a special dinner there. We were fortunate to have joined and were most impressed. We already had a plan then to co...me to Sapporo this month, and made a deal with Makoto-san to come visit him in his restaurant. The experience today is even better than that back in December. The chef is at his home base with everything that he needs and all the fresh local ingredients. The result is a most enjoyable dining experience that cannot be easily found elsewhere. All the dishes are exquisitely prepared and beautifully presented, like pieces of art. The restaurant offers three prices for the lunch, ¥3,780, ¥5,400 and ¥10,800. You name a price, and the chef will surprise you with the best the season has to offer in terms of produce and ingredients. It’s worth every single cent.
