“Yummy Ramen”
Yamaokaya Ramen, a chain of 6 or 7 shops stretch across Sapporo. We spot it on our way to Otaru, so we stop to try it. They boil their pork bones for 3 days to get every last yummy molecule out of the marrow of those bones and as a result, it’s bold, rich flavors and possibly greasy. The noodles... are thick and straight, the broth is rich and can be a little oily. THis is why you go to Yamaokaya, it serves a Kanto/Kanagawa style ramen, where you can tweak the softness of your noodles, the amount of oil in your broth and the strength of flavour of your soup. However, you can choose the oil content, the soft or hard of noodle and strong or light of the flavor for what you prefer. There are several flavor of broth Such as miso or spicy miso that you can choose. And if you wish, you can also add bamboo shoots, seaweed, corn? for little bit extra. All the orders are done by vending machine with detailed instruction on it. We enjoy the Ramen a lot!
