“lovely soba”
don’t go if you don’t like buckwheat soba, lots of different options to try though tempura was the easy one. Soup was flavourful and service professional, a good place for an excellent quick bite.

“Delicious Soba”
If you are visiting Lake Toya this establishment is the perfect lunch spot. The tempura soba was delicious and the best we have eaten in our trip to Hokkaido. The price was also surprisngly cheap, as compared to the soba that we paid in Niseko (by half actually). Atmosphere is very quaint and cosy a...nd service was fast (we came in at 12noon) and friendly.

“Great soba and tempura!”
The hot soba soup is yummy and the tempura is fresh! Chicken soba is average though. Thumbs up and highly recommended!

“Average soba and terrible experience! ”
Terrible experience at this restaurant. The restaurant was full when we visited and we saw a sign that asked us to write our name and pax number on a book. So we proceeded to do that and waited outside. We waited for a while and was feeling quite hungry. So after two customers left and their table w...as cleared, I went in to ask the lady owner politely if I could go in to eat. But she shot a dagger look at me and exclaimed "No!" very loudly. I was really taken aback by her rudeness. I later learnt that customers are supposed to wait outside until she goes out to call them in. In my defense, I am a tourist and did not know that was the protocol at the restaurant. So she really didn't need to be so rude about it, and could have just me asked to wait or something. The excellent Japanese service that the country is known for was sorely missing here! Just as we were contemplating whether to leave because I felt berated, she came out to ask those waiting to come in. Once we were seated, her service was ok. But her initial rudeness was really uncalled for. Food wise: Average soba but tempura was nicely fried.

“Wonderful place to have soba!”
Was looking for a place to have lunch and we are glad to be here. This place was mentioned in the latest Michelin Guide 2017 for Hokkaido. Ordered the tempura with hot soba which was really nice. This is a small family run place so be prepared to wait outside if the place is full.
