“Lunch”
Restaurant looked very busy downstairs, so we sat upstairs. I was surprised that the food was served so quickly. It was delicious. The salad had lots of petals. Beautiful to look at and taste. The ice-cream was good quality and the rose ice-cream was very tasty.

“Coffee and cheesecake”
Right across from Tsurumidai, the gift shop cum cafe serves cakes, coffee and light meals. I had coffee and cheesecake and a short respite from the winds! I hope they continue to exist when the cranes no longer visit the park across the road.

“A good place to rest and a viewing gallery (especially in winter)”

“Good food very close to Red-crowned Cranes”
Just across the road from Mrs Watanabe's crane feeding site, this is a great place to eat lunch on a cold winter's day. Try the "crane curry" it is Thai-influenced and served in the shape of a crane (don't worry its not crane meat!!!). Good value for money for food and coffee, there is also a small ...shop.

“What a great find in a beautiful setting!”
We sat at the window facing the beautiful herb garden and large field that we were told was home to about 300 cranes starting in February! We were lucky to see one fly by! They even supply binoculars for you! We had already eaten so just had coffee. Can't wait to return to try their white curry or p...izza!
