WADURO

I’n now so damn old that I don’t want loud nightclubs when I go out. I only dance (once, awkwardly) at weddings anyway. I want to be able to hear what my companions are saying. What I want is an elegant coctail bar, and nobody does this better than the Japanese. My friends led me to this place af...ter a so-so dinner and it is perfect. Beautiful colourful coctails with interesting and unusual tastes. I just had them do me a series of vodka based fruit & spice martinis like pineapple and taragon, which was fab, or crushed fresh craberries, rhum, lime and vodka. Brilliant stuff and I am now not entirely soner. Oh, and the staff are super-knowledgable but NOT HIPSTERS!! HOORAY!! Just nice human beings, formally dressed and impeccable manners. Miles Davis and John Coltrane on the stereo. The hustle and bustle of Sapporo outside. Perfect.
