“If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine in Sapporo”
This small restaurant serves surprisingly authentic Italian food accompanied by a well-researched wine list from all parts of Italy. They also carry several local Hokkaido wines, sometimes offered by the glass. The menus are generous in their portions and great value.

“Japanese made Italian - a combination made in heaven”
When you put a fastidious Japanese chef in charge of the color and flavour of Italian food, magic happens. At the Ricci restaurant, just a block from the famous Odori Park in Sapporo, you can choose to sit a table or at the counter and watch the amazing chefs in action. Being Australian, I have... eaten a lot of beef in my life, but none better tasting than the wagyu served at Ricci. There is no point talking about the menu because the chefs will feature the best there is according to the seasons. Taking the wonderful seafood of Hokkaido, the owner and chef, Mr Kawasaki uses the best of Italian recipes to accentuate the flavours. I always thought that the heat in rice and pasta was too overpowering for seafood and yet the seafood in the pasta dishes retain their moisture and taste to perfection. Lunchtime offers excellent food at reasonable prices, but if you really want to spoil your taste buds, take your time over a dinner course and some fine wine from their wide selection.
