“Only muslim friendly food in Otaru”
A huge double storey restaurant with prayer room on 2nd floor. Staffs are friendly. They'll hand you the muslim friendly menu and halal soy sauce. Menu is limited (all seafood) but they have raw and cooked items. It's pretty simple like white rice with tuna or cooked scallops with white rice. Pric...es are reasonable and portion is small. Just nice for 1 pax. I hope they will expand the choices of halal items soon and maybe some kid's menu too. Thumbs up!

“Sadly average”
Donburi Chaya was the only busy restaurant at 8:00 AM when we visited Nijo Market. This, unfortunately, was not an indicator of the quality of the sashimi donburi, which was very average and fairly expensive.

“Highly recommended ”
It was so good I went twice. The restaurant is a cozy place tucked in the morning market. Extremely welcoming in the cold winter. We ordered quite a number of dishes. All were good. Try the butter scallop corn donburi. That’s highly recommend. The corn is amazingly nice. The butter scallop is fres...h. Definitely a must try in Nijo Market. It’s less crowded at around 9 am. After that, there’s a short queue.

“Nice Sushi at Nijo Fish Market”
Only had one chance to eat sushi at Nijo fish market and we went there around 11am. This restaurant is one of the most crowded one among others, and it is popular among tourists.

“Great Food!”
The food portion was just nice and the food tasted amazing as well. Do be prepared for the long queue but it is extremely worth it.
