“Convenient, inexpensive with choices of cuisine”
On a bitterly cold evening in Hakodate we took the convenience option of the hotel restaurant. Friendly staff and service but with a wide menu you can't expect superb food. It was average but not terrible. I chose a seafood noodle soup from the Chinese menu. You are given several menus including wes...tern, Japanese and Chinese. Good choice of wine and beers.

“Good spot with excellence service”
We came here after the trip from Tokyo. They didn't offer a Japanese menu; only Chinese and Western. Food was good but a bit over salted. Service is exceptional. They don't speak much English but that's ok. Would I come back here? Probably not because I want the seafood which is what Hakodate is kno...wn for. But for weary travelers, it's an excellent spot just to eat. Be weary as it's slightly over priced and I'm from NYC.

“Excellent hotel restaurant”
After being in a train all day this hotel restaurant was the perfect solution. It offered Japanese, French and Chinese menus and everything was cooked fresh. They served cocktails, wines and beer, all well priced. It was the perfect solution when 2 people don't want the same cuisine. I had the s...eafood gratin and my fellow diner had French onion soup. Both were delicious. The ambience was great and the service was very attentive. The timing was perfect. Highly recommended.

“Western and Japanese buffet to delight-but avoid the Aussie beef”
Elegant wait staff space out the guests in the comfortable dining room. If you are really hungry get there early so you can pace yourself through several courses of very delicious, well labelled food. It seemed mostly Japanese flavors but enough variety to cater for a range of tastes from veg thr...ough to extremely non veg. Two chefs ready to cook to order in an open kitchen. Avoid the temptation to try the Aussie beef from here unless you like your meat chewy and possibly grisly. Other wise throughout the buffet food is fresh and well presented with clear labels for non Japanese speaking guests.
