The side dishes are self-service, but can be arranged as you wish. Since this is a restaurant where you can enjoy the classic cuisine of Hokkaido, it is also frequented by many foreign tourists. From what I saw, there doesn't seem to be a foreign language menu, but the staff was able to speak English, so ordering in English doesn't seem to be a problem. Speed and quality of service, are neither acceptable nor unacceptable. It's a very ordinary restaurant, but it's a good choice for lunch or dinner when you're in doubt.
