Very convenient if you are staying in Yama Shizen or nearby. Tasty food. We ate here twice during our stay.

“All hype, no substance ”

If you like snooty, arrogant waiters, by all means go to this place. When I asked whether I could get in, the front desk guy arrogantly announced to me that I could only stay for half an hour because there was another booking for the same table at 9. I pointed out to him that it was still 2 hours be...fore 9, at which point he relented and agreed to one hour. That was fine with me. Except that I spent most of the next hour desperately trying to get someone’s - anyone’s - attention to order things. I did manage to order a couple of entrees and a sake, and after that the snooty waiter practically disappeared. I had to ask the kitchen guy for another sake. Eventually I managed to order a main course, with the waiter speaking to me in a very irritated tone as if I had just distracted him from something important. Then another half an hour went, with the main dish nowhere in sight and no contact with the waiter. Frustrated, I cancelled my last order, paid the bill and left. The food I did get was actually fine, but this place has more attitude than a 3 Michelin star French restaurant. I wonder if they realise that their business is to serve food to people, not to play the hype game.

“Good food, reasonable price - for a ski resort”

Good, but not outstanding, food at a reasonable price - for a ski resort. No atmosphere and perfunctory service. Worth going with good friends for an everyday dinner.

“Frustrating service”

This is a small, hip restaurant and the food was very good;however, the service was frustrating. We waited quite a while to place our drinks and food order and then waited about an hour for our food to arrive. We were basically ignored after that even though we hoped to order more food. The table... next to ours received attentive service which made our experience even more insulting. We were one of the few non Japanese guests that evening and were treated with indifference.

Loved the sushi and fired octopus, chicken hotspot a bit bland. Staff great. Good price would recommend.
