Holistic Bio cafe Veggy way

Spent the morning hiking Maruyama and was pleasantly surprised to find a vegetarian restaurant nearby. Friendly staff, comfortable facility, lovely plate presentation, and quite tasty food. We were pleased with our dinging experience until an hour later when my wife experienced diarrhea. She had h...ad the salad plate, so we suppose the vegetables had not been properly washed or handled. I had only a small amount of raw vegetables and so had a less severe and somewhat delayed experience than my wife, but I too had a date with diarrhea. My suggestion, if you wish to try this place, is to stick with the cooked food.

We're not pescetarian, vegetarian or vegan but we like tasty healthy food. Because we already had a meal elsewhere (with no fresh salad options), we stopped here to have a salad. It was patiently and carefully assembled like an art work. The dressing was delicious! Worth the wait! Not inexpensive ......understandably. We would go back to try their lunch set. The plate has everything for a "complete" meal.... and also beautifully put together! A good stop if you are visiting Maruyama Park. Located just across the street from exit 1-Maruyama Koen stop. Veganism is not currently a well-known concept in Sapporo. There are only a small number of restaurants that explicitly offer vegan meals. This newer restaurant in the Maruyama area is one of them, with a 100% vegan menu. I only had a chance to go one time. I had the curry lunch set, which was delic...ious. I could actually taste the spices in the curry. They also make a great salad dressing which I think is cashew-based. They have some vegan burger options as well as desserts. Service was friendly and pleasant, atmosphere was clean and comfortable, and the prices were reasonable. I hope that this type of healthy eating restaurant will do very well in Sapporo. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town. Ganbatte veggy way!
