Tazumura Daimarumeda

This is the worst restaurant I have experienced in Japan. I have traveled to Japan more than 160 times and have eaten at countless Japanese restaurants, so I am very familiar with the level of hospitality Japan is known for. Unfortunately, this restaurant stands out for all the wrong reasons. The se...rvice here is not only the worst I have received in Japan, but possibly the worst I have encountered anywhere in the world. From the moment we tried to place our order, the service was extremely disappointing. With the exception of the male manager—who was the only person who seemed professional—the young female servers lacked basic hospitality training. Their attitude and communication were shockingly poor. There are many polite ways to deliver a message to customers, but the staff chose the rudest approach every time. Their behavior felt unprofessional and completely unnecessary. Additionally, the restaurant has an unreasonable rule: even if you are not hungry, every person at the table is required to order a full set menu. The way this policy was communicated made the experience even worse. Overall, the service was rude, unwelcoming, and far below the standard of Japanese hospitality. I strongly do not recommend this restaurant. Just try different restaurant. I even don't feel to shop in Daimaru.

The texture of meat is very tender. Outside is crunchy. The sesame plus the sauce is so match with the meat. Miso soup also very delicious. In love with this restaurant.

Was deceived by the Google rating of 4 stars. Visited this outlet after browsing through Pokemon Centre, Osaka. Whilst the breaded items were good, I especially loved the shrimp, scallop & squid set that I ordered. But hubby felt the tonkatsu was not as good as KYK. The accompanying side dishes pale...d in comparison as well. Well, to each his own. Still think that this was a decent eat!
