“Absolutely authentically beautiful and delicious experience”
Absolutely beautiful and authentic experience. Very slow paced dinner in a private room. Delicate preparations were so gorgeous and delicious to eat. I will never forget this restaurant

“Private Garden, Timeless Flavors”
We had a wonderful kaiseki dinner at Seiwasou, where every detail was beautifully curated. Our hostess, who spoke excellent English, welcomed us with warmth and elegance, making the evening feel truly special. The private dining room overlooked a serene, moonlit garden—an unforgettable setting. Kais...eki, often seen as the origin of modern tasting menus, was showcased here in its most refined form.

“Review of Seiwaso in Kyoto”
Seiwasou was a fantastic experience. The staff were fantastic, especially Oni ( forgive me if I got that wrong). She took the time to explain each course to us, she was delightful and fun. The food was exquisite, genuine pictures of art. Overall, this was the best Japanese food experience we had ...during our trip to Japan. The chefs did a great job with each course, building up to the end, each better than the one before it. I would truly recommend Seiwasou if you are in Kyoto.

“Disappointing rushed experience”
The venue was incredible and food was delicious (dessert was not to our taste but others may like!). Unfortunately we were disappointed by the service for the price. The website said that we should allow for 2.5-3 hours, but we were out in less than 1 hour 45. Courses were brought out together and b...efore we’d finished the last - at one point we had four different courses on the table with no explanation of what they were and in what order we should eat. We felt very rushed which was made worse by being also asked about taxis while we still had four courses left to eat. It also felt like for the price that a drink should have been included. When paying for the drinks, we were asked for exact change and if they could take our purse and count the money themselves, which felt uncomfortable and again like they were rushing us out the door.

“Hard to imagine without going there”
Food (Kaiseki), hospitality and the venue are all unique experiences. Would give it 6 stars if I could. We will come back for the tempura menu next time.
