BUBBA GUMP Osaka

Good lord where to start. I have been to a few bubba gumps and this one is by far the absolute best!!!. All the food was cooked to perfection, even my steak that I ordered well done which is something that is hard to come by in Japan. It was super tender and juicy. The popcorn shrimp was huge and th...e peppers were a welcomed flavor. I absolutely HATE fish of any kind but I tried a bite here and I swear it was not fish! I would order that meal for myself. After 10 days of being in Japan is was nice to find mashed potatoes as well and they were top shelf and fluffy. We all left stuffed and wanting more. We barely saved room for dessert and you HAVE to get Mama's strawberry shortcake. You have never had anything this delicious!! Lord God it was heavenly. We enjoyed this trip so much we went back two nights later but sadly we didn't have room for dessert and I was SO sad I didn't get my hands on another shortcake.

As a franchise chain, there will be consistency with the Osaka Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. among the others across the world. There were a few items unique to this location, which is a bonus. Portions were generous American sized - we could have shared my wife's chicken platter and both been full. Overall... strong value proposition for the hungry and those who want Western-themed food. Great food and outstanding service. We were served by Karin, she was excellent and has excellent people skills. The location was also perfect, a brief walk from our hotel within the Universal City precinct.

It has been over 5 years since we have been here. We are still under COVID protocol, the place is packed. Line up outside the door to get in. Why? Because the food is still pretty good. Ribs, Cajun boiled shrimp, shrimp cocktail - all as expected - tasty!!! Portion size is American size, wh...ich means we overordered. This is not a complaint, it is a compliment. Servers speak decent English. Free onsite parking is available.

We ate at Bubba Gump 2 nights in a row because the food was so good. Locations was very close to our hotel and right outside of Universal Studios. The first night we were there we forgot our souvenier cups. We told them about it the second night we ate there and they made sure to bring us the cups w...e had forgotten. You can never get this type of treatment in the US. The foot tasted great and customer service was amazing!
