Excellent ‘locals’ restaurant within the Gion area. A very small space which gets busy so either come early or be prepared to wait. Cheap and delicious.

This tiny restaurant nested in a narrow road behind the shopping district in Kyoto is not easy to find but worth trying. They serve their yakitory specialties (small skewers) in all the possible forms and sauces. Very tasty. The staff is not very fluent in English but they really try hard to help yo...u. 初めてランチとして行きました。凄くお手軽なお値段で食後のコーヒーのサービスも大満足でした！15:00までランチサービスです。ワンコインでランチ限定お酒も飲めるのでついつい…大満足でした。 I had a lunch meal today. It was good taste and nice price. They have lunch menu until 3pm. It come with free a cap of coffee. Fushimi area is very famous Japanese Sake. There are many Sake factories near t...his restaurant and you can enjoy drink and buy bottle of flesh real Sake and of cause enjoy at this restaurant too !! This restaurant is famous for “Yakitori”. So try order some Yakitori and drink nice traditional Japanese Sake!!

As we walked around the nearly deserted Fushimi Sake District we saw a long line of people standing in the cold and rain. When we approached the crowd, the doors opened and there was a rush to go in. We wondered if the place could accommodate everyone. Everyone in line got seated, even we were a...ble to get a seat. We discovered that we were in a Yakitori restaurant. We ordered the fried chicken wings and the Teishoku set. Service was fast, considering the amount of people who were all seated at about the same time. The food and Sake were very good. We later found out that this restaurant was one of the famous restaurant of the Fushimi district. There was still a line of people waiting to go in the restaurant after we left. The Sake that we ordered during lunch so good that we bought 2 bottles from the neighboring Sake shop. Good food and good Sake, what a pleasant and unexpected find.
