“One of Namba's Gems”
The quality and variety of kushikatsu here is outstanding; the tourists packing the many cheaper kushikatsu joints around have no idea what they're missing. Kushinobo is well known to the locals and in the evening a booking is well advised, but it's easy to walk in for a leisurely weekday lunch - a...nd if you're a traveller in Osaka you really should. This is a local specialty done right. Just be sure to ask for the non-smoking section. I enjoy the atmosphere of the downstairs counter but I've had a few near misses when someone lights up just as I'm leaving. Today's highlight was the mochi skewer, which I don't recall having before - the meat, and vegetable skewers were delicious as always but gooey kushikatsu mochi is a delight.

“Nice cozy kushiyaki near hozenji nanba ”
Went to this cozy place after walking around the area for a while looking for food. This restaurant has smokers area downstairs and non-smoker upstairs with tables that seat 4. It’s got good atmosphere, huge selection of sake soju etc. The fried skewers were very well made. I really enjoyed the vege...tables skewers, the crumb tasty but not oily, and inside juicy. The skewers are fried in the kitchen and brought out two by two, so there’s good pace to how fast the food comes out. Good if you have and hour to slowly eat and drink. Highly recommended.
